We said that Mallorca is not just the sea, but the sea is its distinctive feature.

More than 300 beaches equipped or accessible only by sea, coves, crystal clear sea and lush vegetation, make Mallorca a popular destination for tourists, travelers and artists.

There are numerous parks and protected areas scattered along its 550 km of coastline, pristine water and Mediterranean scrub that laps the sea.

In the next article we will talk about the most beautiful beaches and Natural Parks of Mallorca, here we will only mention those that we believe are unmissable!

Here are some of the most iconic beaches and parks to visit:

on the east side

Playa de Alcudia, 4 km of sand with clear waters and splendid sea, frequented by tourists but also by locals. It satisfies all needs because it has a part equipped with all types of services and a more isolated and silent part.

Playa de Muro, one of the longest on the island with its 7 km, close to Playa de Alcudia, and like the previous one, equipped and well served, suitable for families but with several nightclubs that make it suitable for nightlife. The central part of this beach, called Sa Comu, is in the S’Albufera Natural Park, an unspoiled stretch of sandy dunes and juniper bushes.

On the north side

Playa del Puerto de Pollença characterized by soft white sand and equipped with every service, also welcomes pets and our four-legged friends. From the promenade you can admire the yachts in the small port of the town of Pollença, the base of many charters where it is possible to rent a boat to visit Mallorca.

On the south side

Es Trenc is perhaps the most famous beach on the island; a long sandy beach with dunes and typically Mediterranean vegetation, low and wild vegetation in the protected natural area of Ses Salinas. Even when it is crowded, because it is very popular in the summer months, it remains a unique spectacle: wonderful colors between blue and turquoise and a shallow seabed that slopes gently. Es Trenc is a free beach and almost completely devoid of services but it is worth a visit. And enjoying it from the sea is a unique experience.

Also on the southern side of the island, one of the small and much-loved coves is Calò des Moro, difficult to reach by land (you have to do a walk of about twenty minutes, we recommend closed and comfortable shoes), easily accessible by boat; it's worth it!

Staying in the south we recommend Playa de Santa Ponça, one of the most beautiful in Mallorca, perfectly equipped and organized, suitable for families, easily accessible. A large bay surrounded by rocks and divided in two by a fragrant pine forest that offers shelter from the sun's rays during the hottest hours, with pearly white sand that, when illuminated by the sun, creates an incredible chromatic contrast with the turquoise of the sea.
